Safe in our hands, confident in yourself
Feel the way you always wanted to feel. At The Clinic, we smooth out wrinkles and restore contours, remove blemishes and soften features, rejuvenating your natural appearance so you can hold your head high.
All our cosmetic treatments take place in a GP environment and are completed by doctors with extensive medical and cosmetic expertise.
Botox
Smooth out frown lines, forehead lines and laughter lines around the eyes. Our partners’ precise application of botox will ensure your face looks fresh and naturally enhanced.
Used for over 30 years in the aesthetic industry, it is the most popular cosmetic procedure in the world and you are in safe and experienced hands with our doctors at The Clinic.
Botox is sometimes used in helping to treat hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) by carefully blocking the nerves that supply sweat glands with expertly positioned doses. For some this can significantly reduce sweating and subsequently boost confidence. Regions which benefit from this treatment include axillae (armpits), palms and groin, the effects typically last 4-6 months, often longer up to 9 months.
Botox is also licensed for use in helping to treat chronic migraines.
‘It is thought Botox works for migraine headaches because it blocks chemicals called neurotransmitters that carry pain signals from your brain. When expertly placed in specific locations it stops the chemicals before they get to the nerve endings around your head and neck. Typically clients require treatment every 3 months to significantly dull or prevent migraine headaches.
What does it involve?
During the procedure, small quantities of purified botulinum toxin type A are injected to specific muscles, causing localised temporary paralysis. The muscles in these areas relax and the overlying skin creases relax too.
Dermal fillers
Bring back fullness to lips and cheeks.
What does it involve?
Our fillers contain hyaluronic acid - the ‘scaffolding’ beneath our skin that we lose as we age, causing loss of volume and less elasticity.
By making expert use of a fine needle, our partners reverse this effect, plumping up the cheeks and lips, giving a younger, fresher appearance.
Profhilo®
The first of its kind, Profhilo® is a revolutionary 'beneath the skin' hyaluronic acid moisturising treatment, made with the patented NAHYCO® technology. This results in a unique hyaluronic acid injectable gel, which has a prolonged stimulating activity on the dermal cells.
What does it involve?
Ultra-pure hyaluronic acid is precisely injected into the area being treated. Unlike wrinkle reducing and dermal filler treatments, Profhilo® stimulates collagen and elastin, attracting water in the deeper layers of the skin.
As a stabilised product, the activity on dermal cells will last longer than that of a non-stabilised gel. During this time the stimulation of four different types of collagen and elastin takes place by slow release of hyaluronic acid.
The stimulation results in significant tissue improvement. Therefore we cannot say that Profhilo® is a skin booster as it also has a significant tightening / lifting effect on the tissue.
Radiosurgery
Erase all signs of moles, warts and other skin lesions. Instead of regular surgery, which cuts the skin, our partners use a revolutionary method known as radiosurgery to remove:
- Moles (benign intradermal naevus)
- Papillomas (skin tags) on the body and face, including eyelids
- Seborrhoeic keratoses (wart-like spots, a common sign of ageing)
- Seborrhoeic warts (large skin lesions usually occurring from the age of 40 years)
- Dermatofibromas (raised firm skin lumps due to skin trauma, often from an insect bite)
- And more
What does it involve?
Our partners use ultra-high frequency (UHF) radio waves to heat up the water in the cells of the lesion, vaporising those cells while having little or no effect on the healthy skin underneath. Any damage or scarring to the surrounding skin cells is minimal, allowing the area to heal quickly.
